Went to the Azores a few months ago and there were these figs all over, I must have eaten hundreds during my stay. Anyone know what variety it is? |

Wow, anazing! Beautiful tree! The figs look deliscious. Nice find. I'll see what opinions are on variety. |

This tree was identified as Green Ischia by forum members here. Looks the same. |

No opinions on my theory of the tree beeing "Bêbera Branca"? |

This Fig looks like portuguese "Côteo" variety. Fig for drying. Would help to know if its San Pedro or Smyrna style. Bêbera Branca is San Pedro while Côteo is Smyrna. |

The kadota is very nice in that picked day before full ripeness And it has a nice refreshing berry taste as the picture shows pink pulp. Sometimes figs on full ripeness are too sweet. If u ask me - Brix is not a matter of fig quality. |
