So while I was lurking on the forum noticed that our figs4fun forum remembers are more than just fig growers haha. Some are growing berries, others are growing fruits trees so I hope you don't mind me a straying a bit here. |

I don't know any of them except Legacy and it's a good one, and should grow ok in your zone. 5 pounds easy, but maybe not for a year or so. Once big they will produce more. They can get to 6-8 feet tall. You have to maintain a very acidic soil, they will not thrive if you do not. |

If you have clay soil you either have to dig a trench and replace the clay with peat moss or grow in containers or something else that will get your pH down to 4.something. |

I use raised beds and so control all of the soil. I use a mix of pine bark fines, peat moss, and some peat based compost. They grow like weeds in it. I have 7 plants. Harvest was good last year. |
