This is an off topic about when you guys transplant seedlings outside. I'm in zone 7 so anyone in my zone or near me that gardens, please tell me when you guys typically plant your veggies and flowers. Thanks :) |

Certainly depends on the plant. You want to check online for your "last frost date". For me (zone 6) it's may 15th. Some seeds are direct sow, some should be started indoors and then transplanted after your frost date. Potatoes are super early ( mid April) pumpkins are pretty late. (Mid June) good luck! |

Mathew: I wait until the weather is not too cold (after your last frost). I live in So Cal so it's never very cold at all anyway. But I just ease my little seedlings from inside my house into a small greenhouse I have outside to let them mature. It's a personal call because your zone and the type of plant does make a difference. My method is just to slowly introduce them to the outside world. |
