Had a great time Bass!  Thank you again for hosting this get-together.  The weather was perfect and the food was awesome.  Snagged a few nice varieties in the raffle and made a few purchases from Bass' wonderful greenhouse.  Was able to get a jar of Bass' honey too! Very nice to see old and new friends and it was great talking figs with everyone.  Good time overall!

In case you are wondering who those handsome and dashing guys in the last photo are:
from right to left:
Me, Rafael, Danny, in the background is Shailesh, and Jamie near the greenhouse
Was wonderful seeing my fig friends including my good friend Vito, Barry, Cian, Johnny, Matt ( and many others) and of course the master of ceremonies, Bass
Thanks for your generosity Bass, look forward to this day every year
Cheers

Had an amazing time guys, it was great meeting all the people I've been talking to for over a year now and put a face to the name. Met a lot of new people and had a blast chatting and eating some great food (Vitos Galliano infused figs, Singh's rice pudding and some fresh Turkish coffee made by Bass's Wife), got some trees and some fresh pressed honey. But best of all, making all new friends and talking figs and food was the best part.

Thanks Bass for having us and setting up the event.

Yup, it was a lot of fun! I honestly didn't know what to expect, but I'm sure glad I got to meet everyone that attended. We really have some great people apart of our community. I was so interested in everything around me that I forgot to eat... that literally never happens.. Eventually Bass pretty much forced me to stop chatting and eat some pizza, haha. I still have so many questions! Bass has a crapton of interesting plants, a huge greenhouse, chickens & bees. All next on my list! Couple that with nice people with similar interests and you've got a great time. I want to thank everyone again... especially Bass and his wife for the hospitality, and I can't wait to see everyone at the Staten Island Fig Festival.

Special shoutout to Sal (sppsp), BrooklynMatty, JohnnyK, Jaime & Rafael!

Hello everyone!  Hope everyone's season is good.  Ours has been wonderful so far!

Won this little tree at the get-together.  Would like to know what kind of fig it is and can't find anything on the forum.  Can't make out the name too well.  Anyone know who donated it?

Could that be Charlie's Sister Madeline's Green Greek?

Thought about that but I can't get 'Madeline's' or 'Green' out of that middle word.

The tag says "Sis Green Greek"
The top of the "n" in "Green" has been smeared off and the letters are a bit ran together due to the wide marker tip, but that's what it says. :)

I was just going to say I believe that one came from Matty! Lol! You got a great fig there Danny, I've read lots of good stuff on it :) I was wondering too about a tree that I picked up over at Bass' figmeet.. I believe the tag says Red/Rouge Dijon.. Has anyone heard of this one? I've tried researching it but I keep getting a french perfume product coming up! Lol @Brooklynmatty, I started your CddB A/L yesterday! She finally made a side branch for me after pinching a few weeks ago so I'm hoping it will be ready for the Staten Island fig fest! Whose going?? Can't wait to hang out with you guys again :)

Woohoo ;) Thanks Jamie. I will be trying to start some airlayers in a week or two, including a madelines green greek for you. Lets chat offline and see if there is anything else i can airlayer for you (assuming i'm successful with 6 weeks till Fest)

Staten Island Fig Fest, i'm already planning to take the day off! So maybe we can plan a dinner before or catch up earlier some of us.

Yes sir ;)

Treat it with neem oil, and our miticides. Just in case!
