That fig was brought to the LSU gathering by Terry LeBlanc. For the time being it's name after the family that brought the fig to the States over a hundred years ago. There is an ongoing search for the real name but until then Terry is calling it the Italian Black Russo. It supposedly comes from Cefalù a city and commune in the Province of Palermo, located on the northern coast of Sicily. It has similarities to Hardy Chicago and Marseilles Black. |
