This new growth branch tore after my 8ft. potted tree fell in a storm.  This is the highest new growth - will the branch make it?

The leaves are still growing, so I could keep it.   But if it's ultimately going to die then I'd rather cut it off redirect the trees energy to other new branches and hopefully produce figs.

What do you guys think?

Good to hear it's nothing to worry about.   But should I tie/wrap it with something or just leave it as it is?

I would cut it off. Looks like it will be weak anyway. Don't need it.
Move on

Leave it on, you'll be surprised how strongly they can come back sometimes.

Same thing happened to mine, tied a bamboo skewer along it and the main stem. Went out the other day couldn't find that skewer anymore, but the branch is holding up fine.

this is a branch that snaped while training it.
was several seasons ago and leafs out and fruits normally.

you guys were right.  I left it on and now, not only has hit grown higher and more leaves, but it has a bunch of figs on it!

thanks again for the advice
