@tylerj - these are main crop. This is my first year tasting Capelas. It's very sweet and has a tone of melon. We had a lots of rain and I think it will taste better if the tree had less water.

Gowati is complex. Not too sweet, slightly fight and leaves a lingering taste for a bit. You have to taste it to really know.

How was the Unknown Calderwood?

How are the UNK Nyak, UNK Williams Dark and the UNK Calderwood?  That Williams dark looks like a chestnut !!!

The capelas looks impressive. How'd you like the taste?

It was very sweet for the first year fig. The fruit looks almost like Celeste on steroid, but darker skin almost light orange. It sure could be classified under sugar fig. But time will tell. Definitely a keeper if prolific is what someone is looking for. Not sure about the cold hardiness since it was found in Texas. Fruits don't cluster like Celeste or southern Brown Turkey. The nodes are significantly longer and every mode has pushed a fruit. The lead pattern is very different as you might have already read about this fig.

The Nyack unknown Could be a variant of Mt.Etna type. I got it for the hardiness. The fruit was acidic with a berry tone. Almost similar to MBVS or a good CH but not close.

UNK Williams was halfway between sugar and honey fig. The inside had a consistency of a jelly in the donut. Too early to comment. Should give it some more time. I had shared this cuttings with forum members. I would invite feedback.

Very sweet and had notes of melon like Honey Dew. The skin is leathery. Very tight eye. I am hoping to it will be cold hardy since I bought this tree from a well respected member from Michigan.
