Tempted,anyone know this seller,if these are genuine,there isn't much info out there about Ali Pasha fig,some People claim it is a mythical variety

The offer is genuine, he is the source of my cuttings of Ali Pasha, but I get them before ebay selling.

Ali Pasha could be close related with Florea/ Michurinsk 10, if not the same...

When started to get ripe in your zone this year?

This is first year in ground for my Ali Pasha.
Ripening is late this year, in spring there were 20C in february,
followed by frost, which delayed all my in ground fig trees.

I hope to get ripen Ali Pasha figs in the end of September...

I ordered some plants of his nursery a week ago. I haven’t received an order confirmation yet. Will keep you updated...

That's the one Dave,I was just wondering is this is the same guy as this is the only place I have seen this fig for sale before,if it is the same guy that's cool,just like to be able to trace what I'm buying,eBay is a great place but when anyone can set up an account using whatever name they want it's hard to be sure who you are dealing with

I now have some cuttings of Ali Pasha on the way from Georgi the gentleman exotic plants BG,so hopefully,all things going well over the winter,I should have some Ali Pasha plants for exchange/sale next year to other UK growers,Im going to keep one myself so that when I get Michurinska I can compare the two but if they all root I'm going to have more than I need,anyone in the UK who would be interested to exchange or buy one please PM me,any not lined up for someone will just go on eBay when they are ready

My delivery from palmi.bg is arriving tomorrow. Assuming they are in one piece, I had intended sending you Michurinska. I would be interested in Ali Pasha cuttings. I want to see if there is any difference too.

There are always odd plants that do better than their siblings. I have some Grushovka tomatoes growing this year. They have all been good, blight tolerant, good yield, good taste even in the poor summer that we have had. One of them has outdone itself, it is in a small 2 litre pot because I ran out of compost after potting on the rest of them. However it has just as many fruits, some of them are whoppers and it will be the one that I save seed from.

Thank you for the very kind offer!,I could either send you a cutting or grow it for you and send you the plant in spring,it's your choice.It will be interesting to grow them side by side.They may be the same unique individual tree,maybe with a few mutations over the years that it has been passed around,,alternatively they could be siblings,either from the same mother tree or the same cross.If they are siblings then there could be some clear differences,if they are the same the differences might be more slight.I have 3 plum trees,all seedlings of Blaisdon Red(from the Forest of Dean),open pollinated so unsure if the parent on one side but all Blaisdon mothers.two are small,weak,low vigour and susceptible to disease,leaves are pointy,glossy and smooth,these are all 1ft tall after 2 years.The third is 3ft tall,healthy,strong and happy,rounded leaves,bumpy and light green. If Michurinska and Ali Pasha are the same,if they are grown alongside,same conditions,I would expect to notice some differences,we will see,I'm hoping they are different,Bulgaria haste wasp in the south so there should be quite a few unique varieties there thanks to the birds doing what they do

I'm looking forward to hear what you think of Ali Pasha and Michurinska 10 being the same. I have also ordered Ali Pasha from Mr. Goshev. Ali Pasha / Michurinska 10 look like very promising figs for our climate.

Hi Timo, it will be interesting to try them. In my case I am looking for early fruiting as well as cold tolerance. From what I have read there are quite a few cold tolerant figs but they won't all succeed in a short, cool summer.

For us in Western Europe early fruiting,short season is the bigger challenge,lots of cold hardy varieties will freeze to the ground and bounce back to fruit first season,BUT that depends on how long and hot the season is.I don't think we can assume that the hardiest varieties for cold will ALSO ripen fruit early,they might,but it's just as likely that a tender plant could be early fruiting.

Ok,Ali Pasha cuttings arrived Saturday,good strong fresh cuttings from Bulgaria,paid for 5 for £15,got about 30 30cm long cuttings.After trimming down and potting up in perlite cups in my humidity box I still have some cuttings left,any UK or Europe growers(not currently posting outside EU)interested and I'll be happy to send a couple at post cost to you to stop them going to waste,just PM me if you are interested,first come first served

He is a very generous man,I was really surprised to be honest,took a few days to get to me but he emailed me a picture of the package prior to sending which was cool.Some people claim this is the same as Michirinska,like that's a bad thing if it is?,I am going to swap with another member here who has Michirinska so we can both grown both varieties and then I suppose we will see what's what

EDIT-I am also more than happy to exchange,I can send out now in exchange for cuttings later when people have wood to swap

I have now swapped all my remaining cuttings and have about 20 rooting so will have plants to exchange/sell next year.Ill be keeping at least 1 for myself and 1 is promised to DoricDragons(big thanks out to you),I received Michirinska 10 today so will compare Ali Pasha and Michurinska 10 in the coming years to see if there is any difference.Thanks to folks who got in touch.Rofig,Serge,Timo,Dave,Arachyd,Timo thank you for your input,there are at least half a dozen people who will be growing Ali Pasha next year so it should become much clearer if Ali Pasha and Muchurinska are the same fig

A couple of weeks ago I recieved my Ali Pasha tree from Mr. Goshev. It was in fact a long thin root sucker with almost zero roots. I cut it back to 1/3 of it's lenght because it didn't have enough roots to grow on it's own. The "tree" has started to push out some small leaves now and I hope it will also grow some roots before it goes dormant.

After pruning my tree, I tried rooting 2 Ali Pasha cuttings. Soon the top portion got eaten by slugs (no idea where they came from) and they are dead now.

It is not my intention to give negative comments about Mr. Goshev's nursery. I have also ordered other plants and they are really good quality. 

Haroon, if my Ali Pasha won't survive and if you have some extra plants in Spring, I would be happy to swap.
