I managed to sample a Hardy Chicago but two more that I had my eyes on got sampled by critters.

The critter could of just ate one but finished it.

I can empathize. Half of mine were eaten by my chickens, birds, and an unknown creature. The ones that are dead ripe, they leave the stem and some skin. The half ripe ones, they eat where the eye is to the halfway mark. I have to admit, my chickens have good taste.
