Peretta looks very similar to LDA type but much bigger in size and gazillion times better taste. Balanche D'argenteiul from Baud nurseries did really well outdoors in the UK, thick skin, tight eye. I prefer it's breba to the main crop. Not much to say about negronne , it's simply one of the best.

Hi kkk2210, Nice pics ! LDA being already a big fig, I have a hard time figuring how Peretta could be bigger. The same for the taste. Do you have a LDA ? At least, LDA and Peretta do ripen their maincrops with the same timing. Mine are ripening too ... and they are really good ! Every fig-grower show have a LDA.

Hi,
Yes I think they are the same and I do have an lda from baud nurseries ripening main crops now but they are a bit smaller than Peretta (still a big fig) and leaves are a bit different too.
If you check my other post Early dark looks similar to lda too but it has a very unique type of leaves . I think this early dark is melenzana or lungo deal portagallo. The main crops on early dark dosen't have that elongated look more like roundish.
So I really don't know what to make of all these. my Peretta never produced a single breba. Anyway I love the fruit and it does well here.
