I couldn't find a topic on this. Sorry if I'm wastispace on a new topic/thread.

With that being said!
I hope more people can use this to ask the same questions!
Just bid and won on some " Maltese falcon" cuttings. Seller had a 97. something rating with a 11 out of 301 negative. I hope it's legit.
So and I hope this is okay, to see if anyone has purchased and or has any info ( and please lets not just bash someone) on the seller good or not. Thanks

I was tempted to bid on his Cuttings, but then I remembered he is a known scammer. Good luck and keep us updated.

I think this solution to this on going problem is pretty simple just add your forum name in your ebay auction, no forum name don't bid most 99% of people who sell cuttings and trees belong to the one of the forums

Thanks Seller eBay : dausername1[/QUOTE]~if you do have any problem in receiving wrong items,or not exact to listing of seller,FILE A COMPLAINT WITH EBAY ,they hold sellers money for i think 30 days not sure of exact time, but you will be credited back your pay pal funds so ebay is a safe way to buy. i sell and buy on there your satisfaction is guarenteed~

Check the return time, 7, 14 days etc., in EBay.

I believe Pay Pal gives you 90 days to return an item that you are willing to dispute.

Hope this helps.

I have to look, I had a list of suspicious eBay sellers to start another thread.

Beware of Peony77 also. This user has gone by many names since @ 2009/11, top of my head. EBay knows too.

As Dave and others have said, look for forum names.

These people are awesome.

Welcome, learn, and enjoy the addiction.

Housetonantique is no longer a registered user in ebay.
Anyone purchased from him?

I did... waiting for trees to bear fruit... but somehow i don't think its the cultivar he listed. Based on the leaves. Time will tell i guess. Almost similar leaves wt other cultivars bought from him.

My VDB's from Houstonantique appear to be all Brown Turkey. Could be why he is no longer a "member". None of the cuttings bought appear to be what they claimed......wrong leaves, all appear to be BT at this point.  And no way to complain! They are part of the reason I believe at least 25% of my fig collection is not what I bought. I bought I think 6 sets of cuttings from them.....all the same!
