I recently bought a tree that was labeled California Dark, when I tried to look up some info on this variety I couldn't find anything and was told to search Encanto Farms, still nothing.

Has anyone heard of this fig?  I see California Black, Mission etc.  could it be one of these?    I'm trying to determine the cold hardiness etc.  thanks in advance.

Ray, could it be Carolina Dark?  I've heard of that fig but again, I don't have it.  Where did you get that fig from?  I'm curious.

Dennis, I bought it from Bill at BillsFigs in N.J. 
He just emailed me and said it was a California Black, similar to the Mission Fig.  I guess he mis-labeled it.
