One of my favourite dark berry figs. A very vigorous grower also. Its a later fig so I give it a bit of a head start in the greenhouse. These figs could have used a few more days ripening but noticed a drop of honey in one. Centres were full of honey. |

Thanks guys... it definitely worth the extra effort to get them to ripen in my zone. And I should clarify... its 6' tall including the 20 gallon pot lol... I guess the plant itself is only about 4' ;) |

Hey Tyler, is your tree coming from Brugmansia qc? I was wondering if what they are selling is true to type and the same thing. |

Also wanted to mention that when our frosts hit I pulled off some figs that had started turning dark but were still rock hard. Latex oozed out of them when I picked them. I put them on the counter and within 4 or 5 days they had softened and were quite jammy interiors and tasted quite good. I was pleasantly surprised. I would recommend others try this at the end of the season for figs that have changed colour but not ripened yet. |
