I am looking for recommendations on few fig trees to grow a little north of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Hopefully some that can be planted in the ground and will not require much, if any, special winter care. |

Don't forget, The right Celeste would be an excellent choice. It's hard to beat and there's plenty of it around TX. Since fig trees could tolerate temperatures down to 17 degrees F, depending on age, whatever you chose to plant, your tree will initially need protection. |

I live in the same hardiness zone as you and have been seeking out varieties that should have the attributes you are looking for. I got a few of these unknowns from Aaron a few weeks ago. They should fit the bill and have all started rooting very quickly and easily. https://figs4funforum.websitetoolbox.com/post/cuttings-2016-8323713?pid=1294219732 |

RDB. It is early, easy to find, cheap, and grows vigorously for me, and is by all accounts cold hardy. Many of mine split open here, but I don't think excessive rain is a problem near Tulsa. |
