Yes All the ones that have Listed The BB-10 on eBay Wills Dave have this rare Fig so no worries and this will be in high demand for a long period of time everyone wanted this from Dan and now that it is available I see the demand  going up. I really want to Thank CajunB Brain for the research and his time he has spent on this one it is awesome.

It is always a good think to ask the seller Questions. My friend had gotten this from a forum member in a bundle deal or it was by a seller on eBay I have ask Her to check into this She did not name the Fig. I just help her out a little to sell some of her cuttings so she may buy others I also grow this But I do remember the details this party goes to Russia and had taken cuttings of this from their it is a Mt. Etna type of fig Any other Question we will be more than Happy to answer and I will revise this to UNK Black Russian I was email this by another forum Member

This is his Work !!! And the known caprifigs used in His work were know as C-1 and C-2  . And again you have Not answer the question about the DC Series  ?????   Yes or  No  And how do you disrespect his work By making sure it is kept alive he wanted his figs to get out to others

I always say if you did not cut it yourself from the Tree and label it From L S U then its a third party and errors happen

I asked YOU If you were Stating That their is no DC Series ?? Received some information today From L S U. If you have seen the new fig being advertised as Fantasia it is A Scott's Black . It seems that Dr, Johnson had made a few deals with these nursery's And they have made their own Trade Marks on them for Royalty Fees back to L S U. The legal Staff at L S U is looking into These contracts But get ready for more new name figs of L S U. S o Scott's Black will be Release this year And L S U Hollier will be Next to be release By L S U. And for those who wanted to know if The Jack lily was a L S U fig in the Breeding program the answer is yes !!!! They will be working on bringing the Jack Lily Back This year !!

I grow my trees in ground but they would fruit in 35gal and kept pruned down to a big bush should do very well they also have dwarf trees

Fig Pig you can graft stone fruit trees together plum peach apricot etc .   FYI all citrus can be grafted to each other Google info fruit trees need to be in the same family as well and some nut trees

Thanks Rafael for your post. Let me update this a little, I have stated their are a lot of generosity members here as well on other forms too not to leave anyone out. This is about my experiences Being a Newbie and what I ran into. I known what you mean and probable have went thru with the newbie freeloading.I for one am not a freeloader I have always asked if the members has cuttings for sale or trade not if they had cuttings they could give me. And I have run into some that are just after a sale or money. When I PM someone and ask if they have cuttings for sale And their reply is I only sale on E bay This is a Big turn off because I took the time to contact them being a new member it is just not the way I would treat someone or want to be treated, So I don't deal with them and it is their lost because I would have gotten more than a few cuttings from them, And I will find what I am looking for down the road anyway. So maybe they can see my point of view on this. Their are a lot of  generosity members However Pete stood out I had bought from him on E bay before and when he went above the board to include what he sent me I just cannot say enough about him. Again Thank You for your Post

I Think we may have mist the point of the post. It is about me finding a Mentor. I am not trying to step on anyone's Toes OK. or offend any members here at all or single other members out because their are a lot of Great one's here on the F4F. IMO their are the ones that are just after a Buck.!!! Too me that is a real big turn Off and I don't deal with them because I don't have too and their are other forms which I belong too. IMO this is a big turn off for new people coming into figs. This is my point I am making Instead of telling a new person I have my cuttings listed on e Bay and pushing them away. would it not better to tell them I have listings on E Bay and if you see something get back with me.  If a person takes the time to contact them with a PM for cuttings I think one should take the time out to help a person and most do !!! But their are the one's that don't , Remember anyone can go to E bay and buy cuttings. And My point was about Pete going out of his way when he didn't have too !!!

I have been a member about a year now And want to tell you I have found a Mentor!!!! Their were question asked about him  Rfactor12 on E Bay if he was alright to Buy From the answer is YES. On this form he is Petechanr or Pete. I asked him if he could sell me a item he had listed on E Bay thru the form here. And when I got my package It was like XMAS all over !!! He could of sold the items he sent me for a pay check and not even bother with me but went out of his way to help a Newbie. I think we all can take lesson from  Pete. We all started in Figs at one point and were all were Newbies at One time. I have asked some members here about cutting And Most have told me they have cuttings On E bay instead of selling to you direct at a reasonable price. Too  me it's clear they are all about the money and not about the figs and the Form. I know we all have to sell or trade a little to support our collections with in reason, I myself will be like Pete, to help a New person getting into Figs Because with out them the fig collecting would dry up and Fade away with out New people coming into the Fig addiction. I think some of us need to think back how it was when you first Started and take a lesson from Pete. He is a very outstanding Member THANK YOU PETE

The L S U Figs will do Great for you. Bob I live I mile from the Gulf I can go to my friends place down the street and see the waves hit the beach and at night heard the gulf. The only signs I have seen is once in a while the leave get burn on the edges from salt mist from fog and that's with all the fruit trees here no big deal

I love this James I think this is Great !!!! But their is a lot of concern about non-dormant fig trees being ship like this. Is their a way to guarantee they will live ??? All fruit trees and bare root plants are always ship dormant so they don't shock the plant by moving the soil away from the roots ,My second question is How are you going to process the new fig from growing in your green House before you ship them. ??? thanks

Hi Todd we have a lot of heirloom Figs here in the South Cajun land Dating back hundreds Of years .I have a friend down the street that back in the day her Grand pa pa was known as the Johnny apple seed of figs. Here would make small trees from cuttings and plants them around Church Point, Sunset Opelousas areas here in LA , She can remember eating figs on hot summer days and went with him on jobs he was a handy man Mr. fix it. And he would plant the little fig trees at no cost to people in these areas. We went fig hunting for trees in those areas and stop by the old Farm that she grew up on, and did managed to take cuttings off the trees from the Farm. We also found a huge fig tree That a nice Old Lady in her 80's remember her Grand Pa Pa very well and had Planted trees in that area where she grew up and allowed us to take cuttings. I have ate a lot and I mean a lot of figs and this fig melts in your mouth and you cannot stop eating it we both almost got sick it was so sweet and juicy . I name this fig Hwy 4849 that is the corner the house sits on. Her Grand Pa pa fig will carry his name I am having her write his story for this fig. WE were only able to get a few of these to root because they were green and it was super hot when we did this So we are going back to take cuttings.So if you want send me you address and when we get them I will send you some. Last but not least I have her friend that wants me to go and take cuttings from his family heirloom tree that has been in his family for many generations and the last tree on the old farm it the only one left the hurricanes took out all that were down here and I told her I would help. Hi Sharon when I was North depends on your space these black 55 gal plastic drums filled with water will hold heat at night  The green house will heat the water up during the day. 2nd and the main back up I had was small propane heaters turn way down plus they omit Co2 which plants love.

You Can take a small mouth canning jar fill half full will sugar water then take cooking oil and wipe inside the jar below the neck the ants can get in but can't get out and it leaves the scent trail that the other ant leave so other will follow Ta DA safe around pets and kids
