They have any size you need. The biggest I bought was 25g. They told me they can get bigger if I wanted... I think was 130$ plus tax for 10 25g pots. Under publications on there site they have catalogues with prices. They more you buy the cheaper it gets. At the time I checked around online and there are better prices for pots, but the shipping killed it.

I'm not sure where you are at in NJ, but griffin nursery supply is where I go. They are in Ewing twp. They sell in bulk. I get my pots, pitting mix and fertilizer there.

Nice, I bought a similar one a few years ago. But my garage is either to far away from the house or it just couldn't get the signal to go through the garage and house. It never worked, but I have a temp gauge in the garage.

My pots were a little frozen too, They are all in the garage now. I thought I cut back on a lot of trees, but my garage looks as full as ever. Not good when I need to move these somewhere else in two months....

I'm going to see what they have available. I'm thinking maybe I rent a big space to keep my car and garage stuff and if its big enough I will keep the trees in there or maybe the trees get their own space. I don't know...

Thanks guys. Vito I just got them to a decent size. I don't want to give them away. We are staying in the same town. Just upgrading. I've already thinned out a lot of trees. I'll figure it out.

I asked about climate controls units. The guy told me they are kept at 85 deg. That is to hot for dormant trees

Thanks Ed! Just curious. Good luck getting them a new home. I may end up doing the same soon. If our move goes through.

I would follow my normal winter watering routine. I'm not sure about te cold that is what worries me. I mean my garage was down in the teens and low 20s last year for prolonged periods last year no problems. Hopefully it won't be to long in there

Has anyone ever kept figs in public storage or anything like that? I usually keep my figs in my detached concrete garage. It gets very cold in there and I hardly every provide a heat source. all my decent sized and larger trees survived this past winter. I only really lost one tiny tree and a few that were weaker died back, but that was it. Now it looks like we are selling out home and may be displaced for who knows how long. I can probably keep them here until some time in December early January. Then they may will need to find a temporary home. Do you think a public storage facility, like one of those outside not climate controlled units would be ok? They would be in total darkness, which should be ok. OR does anyone else have any ideas or experiences moving and relocated your trees/plants?

Agrigento brings back memories for me as well.  My wife's family is from Sicily, Carini and Favignana. They know I love history and took me to see the temple. We got lost and went up the wrong mountain my wife and mother in-law were getting very upset about being lost. We drove a little rented fiat straight this mountain on a dirt road and start going around the edge of the mountain With the car half off the edge I look out the window and notice the temple on the other mountain. My father in-law who was driving does some sort of k turn on this mountain, which throws my wife and MIL in a panic. Then he tried to calm them down by announcing that he has never driven off a mountain.. Accept that one time.... My wife then jumped out of the car and ran away screaming and crying. We eventually made it down with everyone alive and then made it to the temple. Here is the picture from the wrong mountain.

My brunswick does give many brebas because it is in ground and uncovered. Honestly, I am not a fan of Brunswick everyone I give them too love them, but I don't like them much. I just keep the tree since it is in ground and never needed to be covered. Last winter though was cold enough to kill it to the ground, but it came back pretty strong this summer.

Thankfully this year it didn't rain a lot while these figs were ripening and I didn't have any split. The last few years we have had lots of rain and the figs from my in ground brunswick usually sour and split.

These varieties where introduced a few seasons ago now. I haven't seen much about them since then. I finally got Some fruit this year. I'm curious to hear feedback on these two. Baskinta purple is definetely a Brunswick type fig. I only got two figs from this one. It had a large open eye and I had to pick it early because of squirrels. It seemed to be sweeter and have a better flavor then my in ground Brunswick, nbut appears identical. I didn't get any fruit from Bruswick this year to compare. As for Baskinta brown a few people in past topics say it is a Celeste type. It definetely has a Celeste taste to me and looks Celeste like. Any input is appreciated.

Thanks Herman, I must have missed that at the bottom of your post. Celeste must be te universal pass off as something else fig. I've had two this year.

Hi Herman, what was wrong with the Black Ischia from gardenoway?
As for me I got rid of a a lot of local unknowns that all turned out to be Brunswicks or kadotas. BC #93 fico picollino turned out to be a Celeste and was discarded.

Thanks! I'll have to try this. My figs were decimated this year by squirrels. This was a first. In NJ from what I can tell the only legal solution is pay a professional to remove them. Although I'm hoping by next summer to be be in a new house maybe it will take some time for them to find me. Sorry, I forget to sign off.... :-)

Thanks guy! I'll keep it another season and see. The tree is a few years old and was a fast grower, but it died back to the trunk two winters ago after I made a mistake storing it. Right now I have it in a 15g pot. My coworkers fathers tree is inground and he was no longer covering it. I don't know how it faired this past winter. I'll take a look at lsu purple pics and compare also.

Thanks Herman! You are a fig encylopedia! I'm a little confused though by your last statement. Are you recommending discarding it or keeping it?

I picked up this fig from my coworkers father. This is the first year I am getting any fruit from it. The figs look a little small since the tree is young. All my coworker knows is he got the fig from a catalog 20 or so years ago. I feel like it may be a mission fig. The pictures of the fruit are not totally ripe, but the squirrels are taking everything so I had to pic them early just to have some chance of figuring out what they are. Any opinions are appreciated.

This was a picture of a fig she brought from his tree last year, but I didn't get a chance to get a picture of the inside.

Yeah my tree dropped some and last year was a mess all around with a lot of my trees. My thinking is that this is not the real tree and I could use the space for better trees or even if this is real then bc#93 is a Celeste type and not worth keeping over other varieties, even though there was some hype about this variety. I just wish waited a little longer before I wasted potting mix throwing this one in a 15g pot.

I picked up this fig three years ago and it finally fruited and I am hoping to get some feedback from anyone else who picked up this tree at the time. It was introduced by a member who hasn't posted since this tree was offered out as a trade. Myself and another another member who picked up this tree that is sourced back to the same person both believe this tree the tree is a Celeste or Celeste variant in both taste and appearance. Now, I don't know if this is what an actual BC#93 is or if this person didn't know what they had or if they were straight up scamming. Here is Bellaclare's description of the fig. A popular Neopolitan fig from Naples, Italy. Also called Fico Piccolino. Small to medium purple-black, blood red center. This doesn't seem to match what I have. If anyone else out there has this tree let me know what you think.
Here is the original topic.

It was growing unattended at an empty house, so I think it's been cold hardy. I don't know how it made out last winter since it seems like everything does to the ground no matter what. The taste berry and they have been ok. Maybe I need to leave them on longer. I have had squirrels eating my figs so I have been picking as soon as they look ok just to get them before the squirrel.

This is a a dark fig that I picked up last year. I'm not sure of the origin  probably Italian. The figs are all ripening small. The person I got it from and has had figs form it says they are small figs, but these seem pretty small. I have been seeing a lot of figs on other trees ripening smaller this year, so I think they should be a little larger.  I feel like there is some resembelence to Mt. etna type figs. Any ideas let me know.
