There are a bunch of NICE twin trunked TREES out there,.   If it were me I would train both trunks as a tree.  My grandfather had several fig TREES that had 2-3 large trunks.
OR make a choice and cut one of yours and keep additional suckers / branches from coming out

Pete,

Was this part of the 100% undiluted hormone or do you have results for that test yet?
Experiment with undiluted Dip N Grow, started today. The grouping is as follows

"The test groups are

Hormone undiluted (100%):
    A1...Scoring "single wide slice"
    A2...No Scoring

No Hormone:
    B1...Scoring "single wide slice"
    B2...No Scoring

There are 3 cuttings in each group"

All of mine are brand new but are/will be in the ground.  I am exclusivly looking for figs that are cold hardy and can survive (once mature) without too much help.
Rex, a key is location, out of prevailing N-NW wind (by house or large boulders etc) and in an area with full sun that does not hold water.

Is there ANY way to sort or find zones 5 & 6 without going through each and every post?

yes, not too far from me here in Lowell.  I go through E.S. on my way to Green Forrest for work every now and then.  Pretty drive.  Not a fun one when it is icy.
Can you share if you have any figs in the ground, what they are, and how they do?

A slight twist i tried was to moisten the medium (mostly perlite) with water that had a dilute liquid rooting hormone rather than straight water,   worked well had GREAT root growth

Sorry, don’t know your last name or even your user name here but wanted to thank you (belatedly) for the 2 Ronde de Bordeaux cuttings.  The first one has progressed to the point where I re-potted it yesterday.  Root ball was slightly larger than a racquet ball.  Second on is lagging behind but I am happy for 6 weeks after starting.  Pic of the new child attached.

yes, sorry, thought about that after I posted,
Will eventually put in ground, along south wall of house, full, sun,  on a slope for drainage.

in looking at other sites, perhaps pruning / trimming is the way to control size to a managable level???

new member, been lurking for a bit and searching threads for answers and emailing an occasional member.  Looking for a source to see how big to expect the different varieties to get at maturity.  I live in Zone 6b.

In particular interested in expected size (so can see how far to space them and how many I can plant:

Gino's,
Sal's EL,
Danny's Delight
Marseilles Black VS
Ronde de Bordeaux

Like I said, looking mainly for a reference on tree size but if anyone has a strong preference of which 3 they would pick out of these 5 I would love that as well.,

Thanks
Greg
