I have no problem receiving cuttings from the States with USPS priority mail before this, as long as there are no soil involve the customs agencies will not confiscate the shipment.  Of course I will pay the shipping, I will PM you my address. Thanks.

If you pay for the shipping then I don't see why not. I couldn't guarantee their viability since some customs agencies hold stuff for a long time (or may even confiscate). I saw some good ideas like putting a note inside about them being props or toys to hopefully fool customs if the package is inspected. It's up to you.

Andrew it is a submersible pump not external pump. I need to buy new pump since this pump not working when i tested it. Actually it was my spare pump for my fish tank that had not been use for more than a year. So have to postpone the testing.

I harvest this one yesterday, 1/4 of it was rotten and that part look like fungus infection but i believe that fungus could be cause by the ants. 11064824_10205253572519005_2038011138677999758_n.jpg

I will trim the tree in Nov/Dec when it goes dormant, and will probably have ~50 cuttings available. I will share the cuttings with fellow forum members who are interested in this. You pay a small shipping fee.

Nanozhou add my name to the list for the cuttings too :)

That is kinda weird. Where did you get it from?

I got the cutting from one of the big name in my country that have more than 700 varieties in his collection. Here a picture from my facebook group, that have single or tri-lobed, but mine all single-lobed no tri-lobed.

The leaves of my flanders fig have only a single-lobed. Will they change as it grow or it will remain like that?

After 2 months of experimenting/searching for a solution I found that the soil in my pots were reaching temperatures of 100 degrees or more. Anything above 80 is pushing it because roots can't handle those temperatures. If that's the case, figs will stop growth and eventually go dormant until fall temperatures cool the roots, which will break dormancy. OR you can cool the roots now... wait a week or two and break dormancy yourself. There are many ways to do this, but I suggest top dressing your soil with plenty of mulch and cooling the outside of your container by either mulching around the containers, changing the color of the container to help reflect heat or covering them with something that will provide shade. Frequent watering also helps reduce temperatures.

Keep in mind that soil in containers gets much warmer than the soil in the ground.

My facebook friend taught me using ice cubes that are put around the tree and covered the ice with cloth and do it in the evening everyday for a week to break the dormancy.

Thanks Kausik for confirming this. Do you have any idea what variety is this because the lady that sold it, said that she brought the mother plant back when she visited her sister in Australia long time ago but she have no idea the variety. I just assume it was Archipal from her explanation about the fruits as i mention in post #4.

Can someone confirm my fig variety. When I bought it, the seller said that the mother plant was brought back from Australia. The fruit got a berry taste  took about 75 days to ripe and the leave look like Brown Turkey to me.

Subject: Is my Cutting Upside-down ?? Replies: 15

A forum member taught me to look at the nodes. If the top of the node looks like smile it is right side up. IF IT LOOKS LIKE A FROWN ITS UPSIDE DOWN. TRY LOOKING AT A BRANCH THAT IS ON A TREE AND YOU WILL SEE. THIS IS WHAT I DID TO LEARN. I PLANTED A GOOD MANY UPSIDE DOWN. LOL.

Thanx figpig_66 for the tip, sometime its a headache for me to guess which is up and bottom of a cuttings.

From what I read to suffocate the nematodes you can mix ½ cup of sugar into 1 gallon of water and pour directly into the soil that is affected by nematode.
