Is there a difference between a west coast/california black mission and a southeast/florida black mission? I went to another local nursery who had black missions and they had the skinny 5 lobe leaves as well.

This is my first post on this forum.

I bought a Black Mission fig tree from a local nursery.  It was a pretty nice size tree in a 3 gallon pot for $17.  
 
But now I am questioning whether or not it really is a BM.  My tree looks eerily similar to the following thread I found:   http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/load/fig/msg0814113528004.html
 
Can a Black Mission have this leaf pattern? 

I am in Florida and am concerned about ending up with a variety that i have to trash because of an open eye
