Use this stuff all the time,just keep your eye on it in summer when hot,will dry out fast. I mix in 25% perlite to 50% for cuttings.

This is a story about a fig tree that was in the family for many years,in has been growing in Wickilffe,Oh, and has been unprotected for the last 11 years and grew back ever year. This year I took some cuttings and started a tree and had some extras that were passed around. 
When I asked my older family members if they knew the names,only thing they said were Colummo and Genovese,but with that being said I do not want to start any rumors only pass on my father tree to see if others can grow it and ID it,till then it is called Unknown Black/Dark G.A.P. which is Giuseppe A. Picciano.As far as I know it maybe a light fig? Any help or ideas would be helpful.

Right now it is 11 outside with wind chill of -13,are high for tomorrow will be 14. Checked storage of figs and they are in unheated garage sitting at 32. Having flashbacks of 2014!!

He told me he gets all his cuttings from Bass, and are friends, haven't asked Bass if they are.
But funny how Bass sell his MR for almost 200.00 and he sells his with a buy it now or best offer of 60.00.

They are fine,just ask for a middle unit facing the south,you may want to put up a foam broad wall between the door and figs to keep any snow drifts out and winds. You can also us cardboard boxes from Lowe's or Home Depot that they have leftover from dropping off appliances.

I have used t5s for cuttings that I rooted. Just make sure you use the 6500 ones for growing.
Leds are more for fruiting "making buds".

One thing I noticed is that most of these plants were in 2 or 3 gal. trade pots,
were 1yr old plants,
were inside unheated block/brick garage,
were watered once a month with just a little water,
but the one thing I saw was that 75 to 90 percent of them were started with root riot cubes.
When I checked the roots,everyone that died that was started with the root riot cubes had rotten roots from the cubes not braking down.
Also I had 1 Hardy Chicago that was left outside unprotected in 10 gal tub come though unharmed!
It was sitting outside of the south wall of garage with leaves that covered it up.
Go figure!!
