Is this some sort of disease? Some of my fig trees have some part which is dried, looks like a dried wood but rest of the branch is green. Should I cut those branches or leave it like that?

I was just wondering, why people do not write the names of figs that they are growing. Someone told me that people bother for cuttings so people don’t write the names.

I would say, Maltese Beauty was 1, Macool 2, Barnisotte 3 and negra 4 (According to my taste buds!)
Every fig has unique taste.

Hi Danny,

I have an attached screen room with my home that I have transformed into a greenhouse. I can leave the door open at night so heat (centrally heated home) distributes in the greenhouse too.
Best,
Imran

Dear All,
I have a greenhouse where temperature in am is around 80’s and in pm it is around 60’s. Should I put fig plants in greenhouse or in garage? What will be good for fig plants? What is the minimum temp in garage that I fig plant can tolerate? Last question: What about small fig cuttings? Garage or greenhouse?

Thanks a lot,

Hello All,
I have a small attached greenhouse with my kitchen. Which is around 700 feet. It was a screen room but i converted it to greenhouse by using plastic sheets. I was thinking to get a heater. I do not know much about heaters. Any suggestion for the safest electric heater for grrenhouse?

I read about this heater on amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Dr-Infrared-Heater-Quartz-Portable/dp/B002QZ11J6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1381636622&sr=8-1&keywords=Dr+Infrared+Heater+Quartz

Should i get this one? Can i operate in common power outlet without any fear?

Thanks for the suggestion,
Best

I called Agway today to inquire about promix HP. I was told that they do not carry this because mycorrhizae can cause lung problems. I tried searching internet but did not find anything. Did anyone hear any association between mycorrhizae and lung problems?
What is the best potting mixture to use for figs?

I think some of my fig plants have signs of FMV. I really do not know much about FMV. I will appreciate if someone can educate me about FMV.

What is this? Is this serious infection of fig trees? How common is it? Does it affect fruits? If one plant has it, can others catch this infection? How can we prevent it? Is there any treatment?

Thanks a lot,

Imran

Did anyone try planting 2 or 3 varieties together in one planter? Will it work? I was thinking to plant 3 varieties together because of less space.
