Got mine as a small plant from Ebay last fall. Overwintered it here and it has grown like a weed since. Love the strong growers, they can outgrow the rust. Most of the LSU varieties are doing very good as well. Picked several LSU Gold. Very sweet.

Yes, I have peppers with a lot of the figs. Love different peppers almost as much as the figs.

My Texas Blue Giant is a 3-4 ft. plant with 2 branches in a large Walmart pot started from a cutting April 2014. There were only 3 figs. As with many of my other trees, it lost most of it's large lower leaves from rust after the heavy rains in May and June. I picked them this morning fully ripe with honey coming out the end on the largest one. They were OK  - a little on the watery side but I blame my care - trying to get leaves growing again with lots of water and fertilizer.

Hopefully they will make it and not get eaten by the numerous rabbits, squirrels and birds. Got 72 chihuahuas guarding the figs. Also going to look into the little bags - I think they are used for wedding favors.

It is my understanding that Texas Blue Giant was introduced by Fanick's Garden Center in San Antonio TX. They do list a Blue Giant. Anyone - please do correct me if I'm wrong.

Texas Blue Giant. Cutting started April 2014 from apache011-2 on ebay. Large enough tree now that feel ok letting these two mature.

I am outside of Lockhart TX. I just started collecting last year so my tress are very young. I have Brunswick I started early this spring from cuttings on ebay. (valerie1582 fig tree assorted cuttings). The leaves look true to type with the long "fingers". Cuttings were very easy to root and trees are growing strongly. I have read that it will split in summer rain. That has sure not been a problem in past summers here. The tissue culture tree I have is labeled Magnolia. I got most of my issue culture variety trees last spring and summer. They grow so fast and show no signs of FMV (so far). Several have little figlets in this, their second year. I have Magnolia TC set out in the ground this year after taking a cutting from it. Best tissue culture trees I got were from saladbeardfarm on eBay A collection that included Magnolia. They sent me two Olympian because one was very tiny. It grew well and caught up with the others.
I just ordered more cuttings from apache011-2 on ebay. I messaged him and told him how well his trees from cuttings last year were doing and he thanked me. Trying again for better luck on Tashkent. I have one surviving tree from the two cuttings I rooted last year. I have read it's not terribly vigorous.

Maybe beginner's luck, but I thought I'd put in a good word for Apache011-2 on Ebay. He gave me my start, as so far every cutting I have gotten from him last year and in 2015 has rooted. All 7 of the originals from April 2014 (6 ordered) are growing well and most have little figlets now a year later. I will soon be able to confirm the varieties. Desert King has it's breba and one of the 3 Peter's Honey is over 6 feet and showing little figs. The other two are right behind it but not as large. Full blown addict now  - with 50 varieties so far, all 1-2 year trees.
