Not very sweet, kind of bland. Maybe because the tree is young and the rain we have been getting. I don't have much to compare it too so my best description would be a hint of peach with a very slight crunch from the seeds. The skin was very thin and soft. Overall it was good and I'm sure it will get better over time.

Here is the first fig that this tree has produced!!! I picked it a little early because I just couldn't wait any longer! I have no idea what type of fig it is so feel free to take a guess but the big success here is that it produced!! This is a breba crop fig. Check out the pics.

Haha. I look constantly too. My neighbors must think I'm crazy. It's me poking my little head into all my plants and just staring. I bet if someone took a picture it would be really funny. However, I don't care, I'll still keep looking at them every day. Sometimes two or three times!! It makes me happy.

Anyone in ct, zone 6, or zone 7, getting any brebas yet? I have gotten a few on an unknown variety, and none in my brown turkey that had them last year. Most of my plants are still young so I don't know if they will get any figs this year. Any advice, thoughts, or suggestions?

This is my first spring with figs. I'm a little impatient to wait to find out. What is the thing in between the leaf and the stem turn into? Figs? Stem? Leaf?

Thanks

I'm confused. If I pinch a tip at 6 leaves. What exactly happens to that branch? Will it get more branches? Does anyone have a pic so I can see what happens? This is only my second year with figs. My trees are all small. I'm just hoping for a few fruits this year on my little trees.

No story. This is our first year with figs. One of our friends had bought it last year from some random person so we don't know its origin. Then he moved away and gave it to me. He didn't know anything about it. Either did we. But it's a beautiful plant. This poor fig tree has gone through three owners in the past two years. I'm going to hold on to it. It would just be nice to know what it is.

I looked at the Beale and archipel. Then the Texas everbearing. I don't think any of them are a match. But thank you for your suggestions.

This is a tree I have obtained. Through my own research I'm thinking alma. But I'm new to figs.

I'm in ct. I only had this tree this year. I picked this fig slightly before it was fully ripe. But it had a sweet honey taste. See pics. Thank you!
