Does Chico strawberry need the fig wasp? If not I'd like it if its still available.

I'm not in NY, but those three varietiesare good ones. Ed is right though with the curculios. Most folks have to spray surround (organic) to keep the curcs off. But in my opinion it's worth it. Apples are good!

Well I've knocked quite a few off my wish list through this forum, so I mostly just want to say thank you  again to everyone who helped me out!! I very much appreciate it as a newbie to figs.

But if you had to twist my arm I'm still looking to trial these (supposedly) super cold hardy figs:

Edited to narrow down to one!! (this forum is so awesome!)
Malta Black!

Mohan, sounds like an exciting new variety! The color of the riper one is beautiful.
ADelmanto, if you have more cuttings of these to sell this year I'd definitely pay you for some. I'm very interested in trialing cold hardy varieties.

Yes the fig fest was awesome!!!!! Thanks so much Dennis for hosting a great fest.
I think it has launched me into full fig-addict mode... oh no!
I'm usually a lurker here but had to comment on how much fun I had :)

Drew51- Oh wow, a cherry plum hybrid! Now that is cool. I didn't realize they would cross, although others in the prunus family do, so why not I guess!
How does it seem to handle pests/humidity/etc? (I'm in SC, so big factors here). I'd love to buy/trade for some scions come next spring.

Ok, my first post and it was not about figs! Oh no.
Back to figs... I'm looking for Florea also, and would trade/buy from the person that mentioned they have some if they are still willing in the fall. My figs are tiny but I have lots of "other stuff" to trade- gooseberries, persimmons and apple scions, etc...
