Subject: EXPANDABLE GARDEN HOSE...SAVE YOUR MONEY Replies: 24

I have four of them. Love these hoses. I got mine dirt cheap on sale. I have the ones with the plastic fittings and they are working fine after about two years use. I always empty them out after every use and store them in my heated garage during winter.

Sas was right. I had to pick it. Didn't want it to go to waste. Flavor was good but not great like everyone says. It definitely could've used a couple more days but wasn't sure if it would continue to ripen with it split like that.

I had two Figs develop on this very young Black Madeira. Since I have not had the chance to taste this variety yet, I decided to leave them on. Unfortunately the first one spoiled with mold and could not eat. I woke up to this after two inches of rain last night. It was in my small greenhouse but I guess it is too humid. Doesn't appear to be any bugs in it yet but also doesn't appear to be quite ripe yet. What would you do?

Not sure which variety I have but yes they taste really bad fresh off the plant. I do have some that are drying and you can taste the sweetness coming out every day they get drier. I did not know they would put out so much fruit in their first year planted. The plants are loaded!

Do a google search for dog proof coon trap. Best trap ever to catch coons. Only problem is getting them out of it without putting a bullet in their head. Best traps as long as it is legal trapping season.

I agree with everyone else. Definitely marshmallows! Earlier this year I had a bout with two big coons that were able to get out of that live trap you have pictured. I think they were on steroids. Trail camera proved my theory right. Destroyed my pear tree. Evil animals!

I know this one is a slow grower but I wish I could get my hands on this variety. I tried to buy one from Tom on eBay but was just outbid on that one. I guess there isn't enough supply for the demand :(

Haslamhulme I would've had the first ripe main crop last week if the critters didn't get it. The only Breba I had was picked June 15. It may be possible for you to get a Breba crop and two main crops. Hope this helps :)

I got this tree from BigBadBill this year and wanted to share some pics with fellow figgers. There isn't too much posted about this one that I could find. I had one small Breba off this tree early which was pretty good. It then put out three main crop Figs. The first one was stolen from me by a bird I think but the other two I enjoyed this morning. They were very good. Nice seed crunch. Complex flavors. Berry with a hint of peach. These two were hard to pull off the tree. Latex even came out of the tree. They were dehydrating nicely on the tree. Very productive tree. It has put out a third crop. Lots of Figs. I hope they ripen. Still a very young tree. #keeper

That's a shame. Snakes are seriously misunderstood. Most times they can't get away from people fast enough! I used to have many snakes as pets for many years and never got bit once.

I would use that soil for blueberries. They would grow great in there! I had the same problem with my blueberry plants until I figured out the right PH. They went from being almost dead to thriving like you wouldn't believe. Hopefully fixing your PH will do the same for your Figs:)

I wish you could use that 20% coupon on the $599 price but you can't use two coupons together.

That greenhouse is normally marked down to $699. If you use the 20% off one item coupon you can get it cheaper than the $599 coupon price. I was also looking at that coupon until I did the math in my head.
