My
Italian Black (Brazos Nursery) tree makes a very late fig Oct,Nov, and even Dec. It was slow growing the first couple of years, with low fruit to tree size ratio. This year we have had crazy rains and has grown into a 20'x20' tree. Hoping to get a good crop this year.

My banana fig is about 15 yrs old or so. Pretty good tasting fig. Not really red flesh, maybe light pale strawberry. They do tend to blow up with not much rain at the time of ripening. Get a crop about every other year due to bad timing of rain.

I ordered a few bananas from them. Good pricing and fast ship. US Postal did a smash job on one of the plants. Wellsprings replaced 100% without any problems. Great seller.

When you plant it in ground, make sure you can mow all the way around it. Jujube sucker like mad, sending suckers way way out from the parent plant.

I have a couple of Che. I found they graft easy to osage orange, I used a cleft graft and had 100% take.
I took about 3-4 years before they would keep a crop of fruit. The early years they would set fruit but drop along the way.
Best to eat them only when you touch them and they fall off. Otherwise they are insipid to me.

Here's my Italian Black from Brazos Citrus Nursery. Very late fig for me-Late Oct, November and all the way into late Dec. on a warm year. Tree is in Matagorda Tx.
For the size of the tree it has a light crop.
