The best thing about growing figs in tropical climate is that they grow and fruit year round.

Kurume Kuromitsu, Basaro and Kuroama. They differ slightly in shape, texture and sweetness. There are little openings at the top and the su doesn't bother or burn the roots. This is by far the best and fastest way for me to get cuttings. 100% success.

I think one of the perks of growing figs in the tropics is that they fruit year round and don't go dormant.

A friend got me 3 Kuruma varieties. They can only be sold in Japan with a photo tag as these are suppose to be patent. Thats all I know.
