I collected many cuttings this fall.  I waxed the ends , wrapped them in dry paper towels and stored them in boxes in my garage  ( temp 50 f )  Before I root them , should I scrape the wax from the bottom or just leave them as they are ? another though !! should I dampen the paper towels if the ends are waxed ?

i waxed many cuttings and put them in plastic bags and stored them in the frig. i noticed a small amount of condensation on the inside of the bags.  Is this a problem. since the ends are waxed, i would think that they could survive the condensation. Or should i spend $199 on a food saver??

setting on the refrigerator was too low, and small amount of ice deposits were on my cuttings.
The cuttings are local unknowns that i can get again, but i am curious as to saving these cuttings. does the ice on the cuttings mean the cuttings froze and are "RIP" ?

i rooted Calimyrna cuttings that are doing well. i was told that the mother tree did produce fruit when it was in a large container. A few years ago it was planted in ground ( zone 6) and only produced a breva crop. i don`t think it was winterized properly. Doing research, it states that "Caliomyrna" needs pollination. Has anyone had any experience with this variety ??

my friend has a garden  full of fig bushes. Six or eight finger thick stock come up from the same root. they get 4-5 ft tall. Each year they they die and do not produce fruit. If they were potted, and protected in the winter, would they produce figs ?
