I collected many cuttings this fall. I waxed the ends , wrapped them in dry paper towels and stored them in boxes in my garage ( temp 50 f ) Before I root them , should I scrape the wax from the bottom or just leave them as they are ? another though !! should I dampen the paper towels if the ends are waxed ?

i waxed many cuttings and put them in plastic bags and stored them in the frig. i noticed a small amount of condensation on the inside of the bags. Is this a problem. since the ends are waxed, i would think that they could survive the condensation. Or should i spend $199 on a food saver??

a man rented a boat and was fishing in a lake.. He caught more fish than ever. he wanted to mark the spot so he painted an x on the bottom of the boat. The next day he went back to catch more fish, but someone had rented the boat.

setting on the refrigerator was too low, and small amount of ice deposits were on my cuttings.
The cuttings are local unknowns that i can get again, but i am curious as to saving these cuttings. does the ice on the cuttings mean the cuttings froze and are "RIP" ?

Calimyrna question

i rooted Calimyrna cuttings that are doing well. i was told that the mother tree did produce fruit when it was in a large container. A few years ago it was planted in ground ( zone 6) and only produced a breva crop. i don`t think it was winterized properly. Doing research, it states that "Caliomyrna" needs pollination. Has anyone had any experience with this variety ??

Thanks Ed, Dolly and I enjoyed the outing. Your operation is great and your hospitality was appreciated. I received a " Fig education" from Chuck likes to fish, Chuck Amid, and TonyCM .It was a pleasure to spend the afternoon with Shailesh and Judy, Dennis and Barb. Again, i thank you hope we can do it again !!

my friend has a garden full of fig bushes. Six or eight finger thick stock come up from the same root. they get 4-5 ft tall. Each year they they die and do not produce fruit. If they were potted, and protected in the winter, would they produce figs ?
